Gesa Credit Union and Tri-City Americans Sign Five-Year Partnership Extension
RICHLAND, WASH. (August 7, 2026) ‒ Gesa, a leading credit union in the Pacific Northwest dedicated to driving meaningful change in the communities it serves, announced a five-year partnership extension with the Tri-City Americans hockey team of the Western Hockey League (WHL). While Gesa and Tri-City Americans have been partners since 2015, this extension places the Gesa logo on the team’s jersey and helmets for the first time.
The agreement, which runs through the Americans’ 2030-31 season, keeps in place the benefits members already use. Gesa members will continue to receive discounted Americans tickets and ticket giveaways, and they can carry the Ams Affinity debit card, one of more than 70 Affinity designs Gesa offers. Every purchase made with this custom co-branded debit card supports local youth hockey organizations like the Tri-Cities Amateur Hockey Association.
“The Americans are part of how Tri-Cities families spend their winters, and this extension allows Gesa to be part of that story for years to come,” said Amber Merrill, Community Relations Manager at Gesa Credit Union. “This partnership is about us showing up for the community that shows up for the Americans every season.”
“We’re proud to partner with Gesa, the leading local credit union that shares our strong commitment to the Tri-Cities region,” said Tri-City Americans majority owner and team president Jon Sortland. “Their support goes far beyond a logo on the boards—it helps us create memorable game-day experiences for our fans, invest in local initiatives, and continue building a marquee program and championship-caliber hockey team that represents the pride and energy of our region. We’re grateful for Gesa’s leadership, their dedication to community, and their belief in what junior hockey can mean to families, businesses, and young athletes across our community.”
Fans will first see the Gesa logo on the team’s jerseys and helmets when the Americans open their season Saturday, September 19, at the Toyota Center in Kennewick. Members can learn more about ticket offers and the Ams Affinity card at gesa.com.
