Terms of Use
Last Updated: October 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are entered into by and between you and Gesa Credit Union (“Gesa,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms govern your access to and use of the websites, mobile applications, and online platforms that link to these Terms of Use, including any content, functionality, and services offered on or through the websites, applications, and online platforms that link to these Terms of Use, including the Gesa website and digital banking platforms (collectively, the “Services”).
BY ACCESSING OR USING THE SERVICES, YOU (“YOU”) AGREE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THESE TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THESE TERMS, DO NOT ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICES. The Services are offered and available to users who are 18 years of age or older, or the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that: (1) you are of legal age to form a binding contract with Gesa, and (2) if you represent a company, you have the authority to legally bind such company to these Terms of Use. If you do not meet these requirements, you must not access or use the Services.
Changes to the Terms of Use
We may revise and update these Terms from time to time in our sole discretion. While we will provide notice of material changes in accordance with applicable law, all other changes are effective immediately when we post them, and apply to all access to and use of the Services thereafter. However, any changes to the dispute resolution provisions set out in Governing Law and Jurisdiction will not apply to any disputes for which the parties have actual notice before the date the change is posted on the Services.
Your continued use of the Services following the posting of revised Terms means that you accept and agree to the changes. You are expected to check this page frequently so you are aware of any changes, as they are binding on you.
Accessing the Services and Account Security
We reserve the right to withdraw or amend the Services, and any service or material we provide on the Services, in our sole discretion without notice. We will not be liable if for any reason all or any part of the Services is unavailable at any time or for any period. From time to time, we may restrict access to some parts of the Services, or the entire Services, to users, including registered users.
You are responsible for both (i) making all arrangements necessary for you to have access to the Services, and (ii) ensuring that all persons who access the Services through your internet connection are aware of these Terms and comply with them.
To access the Services or some of the resources they offer, you may be asked to provide certain registration details or other information. It is a condition of your use of the Services that all the information you provide on the Services is correct, current, and complete.
If you choose, or are provided with, a username, password, or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential, and you must not disclose it to any other person or entity. You also acknowledge that your account is personal to you and agree not to provide any other person with access to the Services or portions of it using your username, password, or other security information. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to or use of your username or password or any other breach of security. You also agree to ensure that you exit from your account at the end of each session. You should use particular caution when accessing your account from a public or shared computer so that others are not able to view or record your password or other personal information.
We have the right to disable any username, password, or other identifier, whether chosen by you or provided by us, at any time in our sole discretion for any or no reason, including if, in our opinion, you have violated any provision of these Terms.
Use Rights
Subject to these Terms, Gesa grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use the Services. You may only use the Services for their intended purposes for which they are made available to you by Gesa, in connection with your relationship with Gesa, and in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.
User Content
Certain features of the Services may allow you to submit information or materials, such as through applications, contact forms, secure messages, or customer support communications (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you represent that it is accurate and that you have the legal right to provide it. You grant Gesa a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use and process User Content solely as necessary to operate, administer, secure, and improve the Services, respond to your requests, and comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations, in accordance with these Terms. Gesa does not claim ownership of User Content.
Intellectual Property Rights
The Services and their entire contents, features, and functionality (including, but not limited to, all information, software, text, displays, images, video, and audio, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof) are owned by Gesa, its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.
These Terms permit you to use the Services for your non-commercial use only. You must not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of the material on our Services, except as follows:
- Your computer may temporarily store copies of such materials in RAM incidental to your accessing and viewing those materials.
- You may store files that are automatically cached by your web browser for display enhancement purposes.
- You may print or download one copy of a reasonable number of pages of the Services for your own non-commercial use and not for further reproduction, publication, or distribution.
- If we provide social media features with certain content, you may take such actions as are enabled by such features.
You must not:
- Modify copies of any materials from the Services.
- Delete or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights notices from copies of materials from the Services.
- Access or use for any commercial purposes any part of the Services or any services or materials available through the Services.
If you print, copy, modify, download, or otherwise use or provide any other person with access to any part of the Services in breach of the Terms, your right to use the Services will stop immediately and you must, at our option, return or destroy any copies of the materials you have made. No right, title, or interest in or to the Services or any content on the Services is transferred to you, and all rights not expressly granted are reserved by Gesa. Any use of the Services not expressly permitted by these Terms is a breach of these Terms and may violate copyright, trademark, and other laws.
Trademarks
The Gesa name, the Gesa logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Gesa or its affiliates or licensors. You must not use such marks without the prior written permission of Gesa. All other names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans on the Services are the trademarks of their respective owners.
SMS Communications
By providing your mobile phone number to Gesa through the Services, you expressly consent to receive calls and text messages at the telephone numbers you provide, including via automated or autodialed means, sent by or on behalf of Gesa for informational, transactional, operational, and, where you have provided separate consent, marketing or promotional purposes. Standard message and data rates may apply based on your wireless carrier plan. Gesa is not responsible for any delays or failures in the receipt of SMS messages, as delivery is subject to effective transmission by your wireless carrier.
Informational and Transactional Messages
By providing your telephone information, you authorize Gesa and its third-party service providers acting on our behalf to contact you by telephone or text message at the numbers associated with your account, including wireless numbers, in order to service your account, collect amounts owed, prevent or investigate fraud, and provide account-related information. Such messages may include, without limitation, notifications regarding suspected or actual fraudulent activity, data security incidents or identity theft following a data breach, money transfers, account balances, service updates, and other account-related communications. To stop receiving text messages for any SMS service, you may text STOP to the applicable SMS short code.
Marketing Text Messages
Marketing text messages are optional and require your express consent. To be eligible to receive marketing text messages, you must have a valid email address on file and be subscribed to receive marketing emails from Gesa. You will receive an invitation to opt in, and you must complete the applicable opt-in process to receive marketing text messages. Your consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of receiving any Gesa product or service. Marketing messages are limited to up to four (4) messages per month. You may revoke your consent at any time by texting STOP to 51283. After you send STOP, you will receive a confirmation message and will no longer receive marketing text messages unless you opt in again. For additional information, you may text HELP to 51283, email [email protected], or call (888) 946-4372. Marketing text messages are separate from informational or transactional text messages.
You may opt out of marketing or promotional calls or messages by following the unsubscribe instructions provided to you. Following any opt-out request, you may continue to receive non-marketing informational or transactional messages, and you may receive messages for a short period while we process your request. It is your responsibility to keep your account contact information, including your mobile phone number, accurate and up to date.
Prohibited Uses
You may use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any claims for damages arising out of any termination or suspension or any other actions taken by us in connection therewith. The provisions of these Terms which call by their nature for performance subsequent to termination shall survive any termination.
Without limiting the foregoing, we have the right to cooperate fully with any law enforcement authorities or court order requesting or directing us to disclose the identity or other information of anyone posting any materials on or through the Services. YOU WAIVE AND HOLD HARMLESS GESA AND ITS AFFILIATES, LICENSEES, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS FROM ANY CLAIMS RESULTING FROM ANY ACTION TAKEN BY ANY OF THE FOREGOING PARTIES DURING, OR TAKEN AS A CONSEQUENCE OF, INVESTIGATIONS BY EITHER SUCH PARTIES OR LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITIES.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Gesa, its affiliates, licensors, and service providers, and its and their respective officers, directors, employees, members, contractors, agents, licensors, suppliers, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Services, including, but not limited to, any use of the Services’ content, services, and products other than as expressly authorized in these Terms, or your use of any information obtained from the Services.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
All matters relating to the Services and these Terms, and any dispute or claim arising therefrom or related thereto (in each case, including non-contractual disputes or claims), shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the internal laws of the State of Washington without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law provision or rule. Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of, or related to, these Terms or the Services shall be instituted exclusively in the federal courts of the United States or the courts of the State of Washington, in each case located in the City of Richland and County of Benton. You waive any and all objections to the exercise of jurisdiction over you by such courts and to venue in such courts.
Limitation on Time to File Claims
ANY CAUSE OF ACTION OR CLAIM YOU MAY HAVE ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES MUST BE COMMENCED WITHIN ONE (1) YEAR AFTER THE CAUSE OF ACTION ACCRUES; OTHERWISE, SUCH CAUSE OF ACTION OR CLAIM IS PERMANENTLY BARRED.
Terms Applicable to New Jersey Consumers
No provision in these Terms shall apply to any consumer in New Jersey if the provision limits remedies for (i) negligence, (ii) products liability claims, (iii) the punitive damages laws, (iv) the New Jersey Uniform Commercial Code, or (v) failure to reasonably protect against harm arising from certain criminal acts of third parties (e.g., computer hacking and identity theft). The provisions of these Terms concerning the exclusion or limitation of certain damages are not applicable in New Jersey with respect to statutory damages, punitive damages, loss of data, and loss of or damage to property. Gesa reserves all rights, defenses, and permissible limitations under the laws of New Jersey and under the laws of your state of residence.
Consent to Do Business Electronically
We use and rely upon electronic records and electronic signatures for the execution and delivery of these Terms and any other agreements, undertakings, notices, disclosures, or other documents, communications, or information of any type sent or received in accordance with these Terms and in performing our obligations and exercising our rights under these Terms. Neither you nor Gesa will prevent or inhibit in any way the other party from printing, saving, or otherwise storing electronic records sent or otherwise made available to the other party. You agree not to contest the authorization for, or validity or enforceability of, electronic records and electronic signatures, or the admissibility of copies thereof, under any applicable law relating to whether certain agreements, files, or electronic records are to be in writing or signed by you to be bound thereby. You will bear your own costs and expenses in conducting business electronically, and will undertake all steps necessary, including software, hardware, and other equipment upgrades and purchases, in order to be able to conduct business electronically.
Waiver and Severability
No waiver by Gesa of any term or condition set out in these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or condition or a waiver of any other term or condition, and any failure of Gesa to assert a right or provision under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
If any provision of these Terms is held by a court or other tribunal of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable for any reason, such provision shall be eliminated or limited to the minimum extent such that the remaining provisions of the Terms will continue in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the sole and entire agreement between you and Gesa regarding the Services and supersede all prior and contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties, both written and oral, regarding the Services.

You must maintain a minimum daily balance of $2,500.00 in your account each day to obtain the disclosed annual percentage yield. The minimum balance required to open this account is $2,500.00. There is a minimum average daily balance of $2,500.00 required to avoid a service fee for the calendar month. If the minimum average daily balance requirement is not met, you will be charged a service fee as stated in the Consumer Fee Schedule. | Fixed Certificate | [APY] A penalty may be imposed for early withdrawal. Fees may reduce earnings. The minimum balance to open the certificate is stated in the chart. Early withdrawal penalties apply (a penalty may be imposed for withdrawals before maturity): If your account has an original maturity (term) of less than 12-months: The penalty will equal 90 days interest on the amount withdrawn subject to penalty. If your account has an original maturity (term) of 12-months or more – up to, but less than 36-months: The penalty will equal 180 days interest on the amount withdrawn subject to penalty. If your account has an original maturity of 36-months or more – up to, but less than 48-months: The penalty will equal 365 days interest on the amount withdrawn subject to penalty. If your account has an original maturity of 48-months or greater: The penalty will equal 540 days interest on the amount withdrawn subject to penalty. In certain circumstances such as the death or incompetence of an owner of this account, the law permits, or in some cases requires, the waiver of the early withdrawal penalty. For any account which earns an interest rate that may vary during the term such as a bump certificate, the interest rate we will use to calculate this early withdrawal penalty will be the interest rate in effect at the time of the withdrawal. You may make withdrawals of principal from your account before maturity. In making such withdrawals, your balance may not fall below the minimum or we will close your account. Principal withdrawn before maturity is included in the amount subject to early withdrawal penalty. You can withdraw interest only on the crediting dates without penalty. A $500 minimum deposit is required for consumer, IRA, and business certificates. Early withdrawal penalties may apply and may reduce earnings. Certificate rate is for a limited time only and could end at any time. Stated rate as of the first day of the month. | H85PLKJXZ2QM |
| Bump Certificate | [APY] A penalty may be imposed for early withdrawal. Fees may reduce earnings. The minimum balance to open the certificate is stated in the chart. The Certificate owner must contact Gesa Credit Union to request the one-time rate increase on Bump Certificate accounts. The rate on the Bump Certificate will be changed on the following business day of the date Gesa Credit Union receives the request. The bump option can only be exercised once during the term of the Certificate and does not increase the term of the certificate. The new interest will not be applied retroactively. The new interest rate will be the interest rate we are then offering on regular certificates (non- bump rate certificates) that have the same term and minimum balance. Bump Certificates are only available for consumer and IRA Certificates. Early withdrawal penalties will apply. Minimum deposit balance must be maintained to earn APY and fees may reduce earnings on the account. Special offer for a limited time only. | RXNQ72MLYV9C |
