Gesa Credit Union Announces Chris Pitts as New Small Business Administration Sales Manager

RICHLAND, WASH. (October 15, 2025) ‒ Gesa, a leading credit union in the Pacific Northwest dedicated to driving meaningful change in the communities it serves, today announced the hiring of Chris Pitts as a Small Business Administration (SBA) Sales Manager. Pitts brings more than two decades of financial industry experience and will help empower small businesses across Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

As part of Gesa’s ongoing commitment to supporting local businesses, the credit union has built one of the region’s leading SBA lending programs. In 2024, Gesa was recognized as the number one credit union for SBA 7(a) loan production in Washington and Oregon for the second consecutive year – further solidifying its dedication to helping businesses access the capital they need to grow.

In his new role, Pitts will lead Gesa’s team of SBA Relationship Managers, helping small businesses secure the capital they need to expand and thrive. Working with buyers, sellers, brokers, and community partners, he’ll guide business owners through financing, acquisitions, and ownership transitions.

Born and raised in the Evergreen state, Pitts graduated from Eastern Washington University and went on to complete the Pacific Coast Banking School program in 2024. Before joining Gesa, he worked at several financial institutions, including RiverBank, Northwest Bank, Washington Trust Bank and Banner Bank. Pitts has a strong understanding of small business operations, having grown up with parents who owned and operated their own businesses.

Student Checking	[APY] Dividends on Student Checking Accounts are calculated using the daily balance method and will be credited to the member’s account every month. The minimum balance to open an account is $5.00, the par value of a share. Courtesy Pay is not offered on Student Checking Accounts. Money Market	[APY] Dividends for the Money Market Account are calculated using the daily balance method which applies a daily periodic rate to the balance in the account each day. There is a minimum average daily balance of $2,500.00 required to avoid a service fee for the calendar month. Bump Certificate	[APY] A penalty may be imposed for early withdrawal. Fees may reduce earnings. The minimum balance to open the certificate is stated in the chart. The Certificate owner must contact Gesa Credit Union to request the one-time rate increase on Bump Certificate accounts. The rate on the Bump Certificate will be changed on the following business day of the date Gesa Credit Union receives the request. The bump option can only be exercised once during the term of the Certificate and does not increase the term of the certificate. The new interest will not be applied retroactively. The new interest rate will be the interest rate we are then offering on regular certificates (non- bump rate certificates) that have the same term and minimum balance.
