Gesa is deeply committed to financial education in the community. The first step to taking charge of your finances is talking and learning about them. Invite your friends, whether they are members or not, because our seminars are available to all.

Seminar: Planning Ahead for Your College Career

Date/Time: September 22 at 6:00 p.m.

 

Description: Dr. Rich Quadrel from Sage College Prep Services will guide high school students and families through a semester-by-semester plan to successfully prepare for the college admissions process.

 

Location: Anthology Event Center 706 Williams Blvd, Richland, WA 99354. This session is free for all participants and dinner will be provided!

Seminar: Understanding Financial Aid

Date/Time: September 28 at 6:00 p.m.

 

Description: Financial aid can greatly reduce tuition costs and help students realize their dream of higher education. But the process for applying for financial aid can feel confusing, so we’re here to help! In partnership with the Washington Student Achievement Council, this session will guide high school students and families through the financial aid process including types of financial aid, when you should apply for financial aid, how to apply for financial aid, applying for scholarships, additional assistance and resources available.
