Keven Gray leads Gesa’s member-facing operations as Chief Retail Officer, overseeing branches, digital support, contact center, mortgage and consumer lending, marketing, and the credit union’s High School Credit Union Program.
In this role, Keven focuses on delivering a positive member experience while driving organizational performance and growth through improved digital and self-service functionality. His leadership philosophy centers on understanding every aspect of how the credit union interacts with its members at each touchpoint, ensuring service quality meets the evolving needs of Gesa’s membership.
Since joining Gesa in March 2021, Keven has successfully led the integration of the 2025 Security State Bank acquisition, coordinating across technology systems, operational processes, and member communication. This represents just one of the multiple major mergers and acquisitions he has guided throughout his 32-year career in financial services. His approach balances member-centric service with the operational efficiency and diverse institutional knowledge he’s developed across three decades in the industry.
Keven began his career as a temporary teller and steadily built experience across all aspects of retail banking operations, including sales leadership and institutional turnarounds. This hands-on progression through every level of financial services has given him comprehensive insight into how credit unions function. He served as Vice President of Sales and Service at Golden 1 Credit Union in California, where he developed his expertise in driving operational excellence. He later joined Rabobank in California as Director of Retail Banking, transforming an underperforming operation into a profitable division before joining Gesa. His diverse background and deep understanding of financial institutions shape his balanced approach to service quality and operational efficiency as Gesa continues to grow.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in U.S. History from California State University, Stanislaus.
