Important Information Regarding New EMV Chip Debit Cards

In order to provide our members with the most secure technology, Gesa has begun sending out new Gesa Visa® EMV chip debit cards.

The new Gesa Visa® EMV chip debit card offers many benefits including:

  • Built-in chip technology offering an added layer of security and wider international acceptance.
  • All transactions monitored by Visa® Security System for suspicious activity 24/7.
  • Ability to make purchases anywhere Visa® is accepted.

EMV chip debit cards replace existing magnetic stripe debit cards, which will be deactivated prior to their printed expiration date.

Once you receive your new EMV chip debit card please be advised that your new PIN number will arrive in the mail separately, typically arriving a few days after the card. If you would like to change your PIN number once you receive it, you can do so by using any Gesa ATM, or by calling 877.745.4565 and choosing Option 3. Additionally, you can change your PIN at any time by bringing your new card into any Gesa Member Service Center.
